    I just recently discovered it and I am already really in love with this plugin and I am now going to be a continued use of this resource for my streams and streaming systems. Hi,pleas help me. When im trying to take screen from my streaming pc to the gaming,it works,When im trying to do this other way,it doesnt. Just a little red dot appears on the left top corner of the streamers pc obs and when i try to click it,it disappears.

    I built a new dedicated streaming PC over Christmas to use with this plug-in. Here are my two PCs:. I'm using Kbps bitrate and I've tried fast and medium encoding presets neither overloads the Ryzen. Here's the problem: When I feed video from my main gaming PC to the streaming machine, everything's a stuttery mess. The frame rate is all over the place. OBS says it's 60 on both ends and even Mixer's player says it's 60 but the visuals absolutely are not.

    Even if I don't stream to Mixer and just do a local recording from the stream machine, the results are exactly the same. To give an example, here is an MP4 I recorded of a 60fps game played directly on the streaming machine and here is the same section played on my gaming PC, sent to the server with NDI. All of these games can easily hold over fps on my gaming PC. If you go to my Mixer channel and scroll down, any of my recent VoDs will showcase this.

    Compare this to another member of my stream team who also uses NDI and the difference is night and day. I also have a friend who is a new streamer and is using a similar setup with no issues. His gaming PC specs are almost identical to mine as well. Also tried hardware acceleration on and off. The problem seems very clearly to be not in OBS properly sending the video data to Mixer but in my gaming PC sending the video data to the streaming box.

    However, I am completely out of ideas as to what it could be. Nothing is being overtaxed and nothing is an obvious bottleneck. Nonetheless, I dropped a grand on a new streaming server and right now, my streams are worse quality than when I was doing everything off a single PC.

    I badly don't want to go to a capture card solution and I'm sure there's a way to deal with this but I can't see it. I'm hoping Palakis or someone else has seen this and can give me some kind of advice because I'm desperate to solve this.

    NDI is the whole reason I built this streaming box and I can't let that be a waste.

    I haven't tried XSplit NDI yet either but aside from the fact that I really don't like XSplit in general, their NDI implementation also has a major audio sync bug at the moment and basically isn't usable anyway. I don't know if this project is taking financial donations or not but I'm willing to put money where my mouth is if it means getting the help needed to solve this properly.

    I sat down today to try and get to the bottom of it and used the NDI analaysis tool to check it out. Whenever there's visible jitter the bitrate is going up to hundreds and at times over Mbps! At that point it all breaks down and then comes back smooth when it drops down again.

    On a single PC streaming setup, you have your game, webcam, microphone, broadcasting software, and everything else you use to stream all running on one computer. The streamer can experience input lag on their side and encoding problems on the viewer side. Now you can crank graphics settings up to whatever your PC can handle.

    Now, the traditional way of getting the video from the gaming PC to the streaming PC is to use a capture card. They vary in price and quality, from the cheapest costing a couple hundred dollars, to professional-quality cards that cost many times that.

    They all have their pros and cons with some having less latency and better quality over the others. Simply put, it is a Video-over-IP solution which touts low latency and high-quality video while using very little bandwidth.

    They also created tools that made NDI readily available, not only to professionals in the video broadcasting world but to everyday users. A gigabit network will allow you to send multiple NDI streams simultaneously without loss of quality. Gigabit ethernet switches are pretty cheap nowadays. Streamlabs OBS will also work. If using the NewTek Tools method, then any broadcasting software should work fine and only needs to be installed on the Streaming PC.

    There are pros and cons to both methods. This way, if the game crashes, your viewers are spared from seeing a view of your unorganized Gaming PC desktop, which can be an issue with capture cards too — since they capture everything on the Gaming PC. With OBS you can pick a specific window or program to capture; if the game crashes, then the viewers will see what you want them to see.

    I have a graphic on a layer under my game capture so if my game closes they see the graphic instead of black. This method is also easier to set up and get working than the NewTek Tools method. The downside is that this method has slightly more latency and uses slightly more bandwidth and CPU usage than the NewTek Tools method. This method only works with OBS. If you use another broadcasting software, you will have to use the NewTek Tools method.

    So what do you need to do? This will direct you to the Github Page where the plugin installer is hosted. At the time of this article, the latest version for windows is 4.
